WhatsApp is working on a new Multi-device 2.0 update that will let people sync chats across mobile devices. This update is submitted through the Google Play Beta Program with this update, the current version reaches up to 2.22.15.13. With this feature, WhatsApp will reportedly be the ability to sync your chat across all mobile devices.

However, it may take a little time for the whole process to be completed. Additionally, the company is also working to make this same system message available for WhatsApp web/desktop clients. The company also mentions that chats are in sync until now so old messages are temporarily unavailable.
