WhatsApp is working on a new feature bringing changes for media visibility. This update will be available to WhatsApp beta Android users. The platform is rolling out this new update through the Google Play Beta Program. With this update the version reaches to 22.214.171.124. This update brings hidden reference about a new alert explaining about the media visibility option that it may not be available in future.

WhatsApp has been continuously working on new features to enhance the app for better performance. It has been working on this disappearing messages feature for more improvements from quite some time. After the release of new WhatsApp beta for Android 126.96.36.199 update there is news about a latest feature which will prevent viewing media in your phone gallery when you enable disappearing messages option in your phone.
As per the reports that the changes will apply in future and you will try to turn on “media visibility”, this option will no more be available to you for some privacy reasons. The company has added this privacy feature so that no media is saved by default to your phone’s gallery. If you have turned on disappearing messages options. If you want to save media files automatically to your phone gallery again, you have to disable the disappearing messages option.
This feature is in development process so your phone will not support it at present. It is even not available to beta testers yet. So, this means if you want, you can take screenshots before any media will disappeared from your chat. However this new implemented change which will be available to you in future update. So, it won’t possible to turn on media visibility if the chat is in disappearing mode.
