WhatsApp Ticketing System Expansion
The WhatsApp ticketing system was first introduced earlier this year on the Airport Express Line.
This innovative service, developed in collaboration with Meta and their authorized partner, Pelocal Fintech Pvt. Ltd., has quickly gained popularity among Delhi’s metro commuters.

A Seamless Booking Process
Booking metro tickets using WhatsApp is a straightforward process. Commuters can initiate the process by sending a simple message containing the word “Hi” to +91 9650855800 on WhatsApp.
Alternatively, they can scan the QR code provided using their smartphone. It’s user-friendly and aboon for technological background travelers.
Operational Details
To ensure the convenience of commuters, the WhatsApp ticketing feature is available between 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for all metro lines.
For the Airport Line (Orange Line), this service extends from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. A noteworthy feature is that a single user can generate up to a maximum of six QR tickets in one go.
However, it’s important to note that ticket cancellations are not permitted in the WhatsApp Ticketing system.
Additionally, while a convenience fee is applied to transactions made via credit/debit card, no fee is charged for UPI-based transactions, making it a cost-effective choice for passengers.
