Next month, Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the eagerly awaited Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China. Lu Weibing, the head of the firm, stated that the phone may also make its world premiere on March 3rd at MWC 2025 in Barcelona. Given that the device has already obtained BIS certification, the launch in India is also anticipated to occur soon.
Memory & Color Options
Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore claims that a 16GB RAM + 512GB storage version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would be offered. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, its predecessor, has the similar setup.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will come in three different color options: silver, white, and black. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, on the other hand, came in vegan leather and was only offered in black and white.
Design Leaks
According to recent hands-on photos, there won’t be any significant design modifications made to the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Nonetheless, a minor modification has been made to the location of the camera sensor within the huge circular module. Additionally, the camera module bears the Leica logo.
The circular camera module’s frame has a red accent to give it a high-end look. According to the leaked photos, the smartphone is black and has a textured back panel.
Expected Specifications
- Chipset: It is said that the phone would include the potent Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, an improvement above the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 found in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra.
- Battery & Charging: A huge 6,000mAh battery is anticipated, in addition to 50W wireless and 90W wired fast charging. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra, in contrast, featured a 5,300mAh battery that could be charged with 90W wired and 80W wireless power.
- Cameras: With a 200MP periscope lens and a 1-inch primary camera sensor, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is said to be the sole “imaging flagship.” Information on other camera sensors is yet unknown, though.
- Connectivity: The phone is anticipated to have eSIM support and satellite connectivity, making it Xiaomi’s first flagship with these features.
India Launch
The Xiaomi 15 series may make its debut in India in February 2025, despite Xiaomi not having formally disclosed the launch date. This might also apply to the Ultra version. For comparison, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which retailed for ₹99,999, was introduced in India in March 2024.
