As per earlier reports WhatsApp communities will allow group admins to bring similar groups under one roof for easier access. WhatsApp has been working on communities feature from past some time. The platform is reportedly planning to add a couple of new functions to its WhatsApp business version. In this update the app is working on an introduction for WhatsApp communities for a future update.
WhatsApp communities – Introduction
You have been reading about WhatsApp communities from quite some time now. From a previous article you already know that WhatsApp communities is a private place where group admins have more control over some WhatsApp groups. Community is like a group chat and the group admins can link groups together. These functions will be available in a future update.
The Meta owned instant messaging app is planning to enable users to create communities. Previously in WhatsApp beta for Android 184.108.40.206 update there was some hidden references about the ability to link groups to a community. Through the screenshot released by WABetaInfo it is confirmed that the feature which enables you to bring all your linked groups together in a WhatsApp community is actually present.
You can do so through the first given option “Bring your groups together”. Additionally the screenshot also reveals the first tool which will be available to the group admins to help them manage their WhatsApp groups in a better way. With the second available option “Reach everyone at once” the group admins can send message to all the participants of the linked groups at a time.
Introduction for WhatsApp communities has already been spotted on WhatsApp Android Beta too, but unfortunately it is currently not available for iPhone users and Android users. As this feature is under development process there is no news on its final release date. You will get information as soon as there is any update on it.
