As per the reports of WABetaInfo, the new calling shortcut feature will enable you to make calls faster without having to open the app each time you want to make a call. For this, first of all, you need to select a contact from your phonebook on WhatsApp.

A pop-up will appear asking for permission to set up a custom shortcut for your frequently called contacts. When you tap on the button, the call shortcut will be created. It will be available under the contact card by the side of cellular calling thumbnails.

The new calling shortcut feature is currently under development process so it is not available to beta testers. As per the reports, it will be available in a future update of the app.
