WhatsApp is rolling out new updated privacy settings, ‘My contacts except’ to more Android beta testers. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update the version reaches 2.22.8.9. This update brings reference to the advanced setting of the privacy feature. In a previous article released 4 months back a leading WhatsApp news portal reported about the ‘WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.23.14 update’. This update brings the ability to choose who can see your personal information with granular accuracy. The feature was then rolled out only to some select beta testers, thus it was available to very few people.

In this current beta update, there is news about the same feature. In its last update, the Instant Messaging App rolled out the new voice note feature which brings the ability to play a voice note while switching to a different conversation to more beta testers.

According to the reports now the platform is rolling out the new updated privacy settings, “My Contacts except…” feature for last seen, about, and profile photo to more beta testers. The report has also released a screenshot of this feature. The report reveals that if this new option is available to you in your privacy settings, you will be able to choose who can see your personal information.

But you need to know that you will also be not able to see the last seen of those Contacts whom you have excluded from seeing your last seen. However, this rule does not apply to your ‘about’ and ‘profile photo’. As this feature is being rolled out to more beta testers, you can expect it to be available in your settings within 24 hours.

To get this feature be sure to install the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android 2.22.8.9 update, but according to the reports, some users may also get it in the previous 2.22.8.8 update.
