WhatsApp is working on a new feature which will bring the ability to request your account information right within the web/desktop client. This update will be available to you through the official beta channel. With this update the version reaches to 2.2204.1. This feature was already available for the Android and iOS users.
Now the platform is planning to roll out the same feature for desktop users too. Keeping the security of its users in mind the Meta owned app has been working on privacy features since a long time. Request account information within web/desktop client
WhatsApp had recently rolled out a number of features for beta desktop users. The latest feature was ability to Configure two-step verification which is under development. It will be available to you in a future update. You all know that WhatsApp is currently working on a bunch of new features from quite some time. The latest added feature brings more privacy for the desktop client.
This WhatsApp desktop beta version brings reference about the request account info option. With the implementation of this feature you can request WhatsApp to generate details about your account which consists of your account information like your activity info, privacy, settings and your device information which are needed to access the instant messaging app.

WhatsApp rolled out this feature because of the new data privacy rules of the the European Union, which is known as GDPR ( European Generator Data Protection Regulation). You already know that the Meta owned platform had introduced a similar feature for Android and iOS in 2018, in which you can ask for your account information by browsing WhatsApp account settings right within WhatsApp.
The company is planning to introduce all other missing features in its web version. However this feature is in the development process and there is no news about the release date too.
