WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature ‘Ability to Move chats to iOS’ for beta Android users. The platform has submitted this update through the Google Play Beta Program with this update the current version reaches 2.22.15.11. Now More beta testers can try out this amazing feature.
Transferring your WhatsApp chat history from Android to iPhone was doubtful until now. But with this latest release, it may soon become smoother. The WhatsApp developers team has been working on this feature for quite some time. In this current update, the Meta-owned company is finally rolling out the long-pending feature. WhatsApp releasing Ability to Move Chats to iOS
In the previous month, Mark Zuckerberg made an announcement on Facebook that the Meta-owned company was releasing chat history migration. Though the announcement was official, it seemed to be A/B testing. This means that only some users could migrate their chat history from Android to iOS.
According to the recent report of WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out this ability to more beta testers in its latest update. This means that now more people will be able to migrate their chat history from Android to iPhone.
To check if this feature is already enabled for your WhatsApp account install the ‘Move to iOS’ app from Play Store. Make sure your iPhone is updated to iOS 15.5 version and restored to the factory setting. You also need to use at least Android 5. Also, make sure that you have installed the latest version of WhatsApp.
Finally, connect all your devices to power and ensure that they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Open the ‘Move to iOS’ app and see if WhatsApp shows up as an option.
