WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature in Argentina that allows people to share media files up to 2GB in size. Just after announcing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.7.0.76 update that supports iOS 15, the Popular Instant Messaging App has now started testing this new feature for Android and iOS. WhatsApp has been working on a lot of new features recently related to utility, privacy, and many others.

As one of the most popular messenger and chat support software, it is working continuously towards more improvements to enhance its users’ experience on the app. In this latest beta update, the Meta-owned platform is reportedly rolling out a new feature in Argentina that will let users share media files up to 2GB in size.

You all must be knowing that you cannot share media files that are larger than 100MB in WhatsApp. According to recent reports, the platform is working to increase this current limit of Sharing Media file size. The report mentions that after releasing ‘message reaction’ to some select beta testers, WhatsApp has started testing the ability to share media files up to 2GB.

However, the report adds that this feature is currently rolled out in Argentina and is only available to certain beta testers. Though this feature is not available in India at present but you can get a preview of it in the report released by a leading WhatsApp news source. As this feature is in the testing phase there is no news on whether the popular messaging app has plans to release this similar feature to more users in the coming date.

As per the reports of WABetaInfo after the test WhatsApp may also disable the changes by bringing back the previous limit which is 100 MB. This new feature that allows people to share media files up to 2GB is compatible with both WhatsApp beta for Android and WhatsApp beta for iOS but as mentioned earlier it will only work in Argentina.
