So, now you can easily change your mobile device without losing your chat history. You can see that this new option will be available in the chat section of WhatsApp settings. With this option, you can easily move your chat history from one phone to another Android phone.

This might free you from the trouble of backing up your chat history on a Google device while switching to a new phone. Notably, the new chat transfer feature is surely a very easy and suitable way to transfer all your Conversations to any new mobile device.

But regular backup on Google drive is still needed. It is because if in any case you lose your phone or something happens to it, you will be able to recover your chat history. However, transferring chat will surely be a quick option when switching to a new Android phone.

As mentioned earlier the new chat transfer feature is currently under development process so it is not available to beta testers. There is no information on its final release date too but if there is any new update you will know through a new post on our website.
