WhatsApp rolling out Cover photos for business account users

WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a ‘Cover photos’ feature for business profiles. Just after WhatsApp announced that WhatsApp business account users will be able to create business orders right within the chat, now the platform is again ready with another business feature that was under internal testing for some time.

WhatsApp is working on business accounts for some time. The platform has been developing new tools to enhance business account users’ experience. According to the reports after this release, some WhatsApp iOS beta testers can be able to set up Cover photos for their business profiles. Get more details in this article.

WhatsApp exclusive feature for Business accounts

In a previous report released two months back, the independent WhatsApp new tracker WABetaInfo announced that the popular Global messenger was working on a feature that allows WhatsApp business users to set up Cover photos within their business profiles.

After releasing the version of WhatsApp business beta through the TestFlight beta program, the platform is now enabling the same feature to some select beta testers. As you can see in the released screenshot, after you install the new update a notice may arrive in your chat list, written: “Now enhance your business profile with a cover photo”.

To set up a cover photo you have to select the “tap to add now” option. You can set up a cover photo within your business profile. Now your cover photo will be visible to all other WhatsApp accounts every time they visit the chat Info of the business. As already mentioned this feature is currently available only on WhatsApp business beta for iOS but the platform is planning to release a similar feature for Android beta testers too in Coming updates.

The report has also mentioned the cover photo size which is 1211×681. If you are not able to view cover photos when you open business Info this means it is not yet ready for your account. The report further adds that at present there are no plans to release this feature for standard WhatsApp accounts.

This means that cover photos are exclusively for WhatsApp business users only. Some beta testers are already able to use this feature and more activations are on the line in a coming update. For more latest news and information keep following us.
