WhatsApp recently released an amazing upgrade that will undoubtedly improve the smoothness of your calling experience. Making it simpler than ever to make a call, WhatsApp is introducing a new feature in its most recent iOS version that lets users dial phone numbers straight from the app.

‘Call a Number’ Feature

In the latest WhatsApp Beta for iOS 25.1.80 update, iPhone users can now manually enter a phone number in the Calls tab to make calls. This new feature adds a button that, when tapped, shows an option called ‘Call a Number’. Once you enter the phone number, WhatsApp will automatically check if the number is registered with the app.

If the number is registered, you’ll see a confirmation, and if it’s linked to a verified business account, you’ll even see a verification badge. This makes it super easy to confirm whether the number is a valid WhatsApp contact or not.

Game-Changer Feature

A whole new level of ease is added with the launch of this new feature. Previously, users could only call contacts they had stored, but now they may enter any number and check to see if it is registered on WhatsApp before making a call. This saves you time and eliminates the uncertainty of whether the individual you are attempting to contact is on WhatsApp.

Additionally, users will be able to store the number straight to their contact list without ever leaving the app after inputting it. It is far more effective with this extra feature, particularly if you want to add new contacts fast without breaking your flow.

When Will This Feature Be Available

This functionality is being progressively made available to iOS users by WhatsApp, and in the upcoming weeks, it should be accessible to all iPhone users. Don’t worry if you haven’t noticed the update yet; you will soon be able to take advantage of this new feature.
