Design & display
The phone is 7.9mm thin and weighs 198 grams. It has a design with a flat display and flat sides. The front has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, which supports 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits local peak brightness. Although its brightness is slightly lower than the Pro model, the high brightness mode offers better visibility even in sunlight.
Camera
The Vivo Y400 5G has a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP bokeh sensor at the back. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front. In good light, the camera delivers a lot of detail and color accuracy, while photos in night mode are also satisfactory. However, the dynamic range seems a bit limited in low light and high contrast conditions.
Battery & charging
The Vivo Y400 5G has a 6,000mAh BlueVolt battery, which supports 90W FlashCharge. Vivo claims that this phone gets fully charged in about 44 minutes and can maintain battery life for up to 4 years.

This phone has a Snapdragon 4th Generation 2 processor, which is built on a 4nm process. It has two Cortex-A78 performance cores running at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 1.95GHz. This chipset is known for battery efficiency and thermal management.
