The highly anticipated Vivo Y300 5G is expected to arrive in China on December 16, following the September debut of its brother, the Vivo Y300 Pro. However, it is vital to note that this future handset is not the same as the Y300 5G edition that was announced in India last month. Ahead of the official release, tipster WHYLAB on Weibo released specifications, providing us with an interesting sneak peek.
Display & Design
The Vivo Y300 5G will include a 6.77-inch flat OLED screen with outstanding features like 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a remarkable 1,800 nits maximum brightness. The display will also include an embedded fingerprint scanner, allowing for easy use even with damp or filthy hands.
Camera specs
Photography fans might expect an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The phone’s back will have a dual-camera arrangement with a 50MP Samsung S5KJNS main sensor and a 2MP depth lens. This phone can capture detailed portraits as well as breathtaking vistas.
Enhanced Audio
One notable feature of the Vivo Y300 5G is its triple-speaker system. It has both top and bottom-firing speakers, with an extra speaker neatly built inside the camera island. This system, co-developed with AAC technology, provides a 3D panoramic sound experience with an audio output of 4.5W.
Performance & battery life
The Vivo Y300 5G is believed to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC. It will be offered in four different configurations:
- 8GB + 128GB
- 8GB + 256GB or 12GB + 256GB
- 12GB + 512GB
- A big 6,500mAh battery powers the smartphone and supports 44W rapid charging, allowing you to stay charged all day.
Pricing & availability
While the Vivo Y300 5G is unlikely to make it to India in its Chinese version, it is expected to succeed the Vivo Y200 5G in the Chinese market. The Y200 5G, debuted in May at CNY 1,599 (~₹18,410), suggests a similar pricing range for the incoming Y300 5G.
