Is your Vivo phone also filled with many useless apps? Which you neither use nor delete? If yes, then you are not alone! Most smartphones including Vivo are filled with botware i.e. pre-installed apps that are neither necessary nor can be deleted. But don’t worry, in this article we will learn how to get rid of these botware on Vivo phone.
What is Bloatware
Bloatware are apps that come pre-installed on the phone. These mostly come from the brand or partner companies. Now the problem is that many of these apps are neither useful nor can you remove them. They just keep using the phone’s RAM and storage for no reason.
What are the disadvantages of bloatware
- The phone’s speed slows down.
- Unnecessary notifications keep coming.
- The battery runs out quickly.
- The phone’s internal storage gets full.
- Data is also wasted due to these apps running in the background.
How to remove
1. Disable apps
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Apps & Permissions or Apps option
- Select the app you want to disable
- Tap on the “Disable” button
2. Turn off auto start of apps
- Vivo’s Funtouch OS has an auto start option, due to which apps start running automatically in the background.
- Go to Settings > Battery > Background power consumption management
- Here you can turn off auto start of apps that are not needed
3. Block notifications
- Settings > Notifications > Select app
- Turn off “Show notifications”
4. Limit app permissions
- Go to Settings > Apps > App permissions
- Remove unnecessary permissions
