Samsung has formally declared that by the end of the first quarter of 2025, all Galaxy S-series phones would receive the One UI 7 update. Just before the highly anticipated launch of the Galaxy S25 series, this wonderful news was released.

Samsung appears prepared to provide its users with a stable and feature-rich upgrade following delays in implementing Android 15.

Rollout Timeline

A press release from Samsung Korea states that by March 31, 2025, all compatible Galaxy S-series models will have received the One UI 7 update. Samsung generally follows a similar calendar worldwide, even if the initial distribution schedule is for the Korean market. Therefore, users worldwide can anticipate receiving the update at roughly the same time.

Upgrade

The company also made a suggestion that the upgrade would soon be available for other Galaxy handsets outside of the S-series. The Galaxy Unpacked presentation later today is probably where specifics about global timetables will be unveiled.

What’s New

One UI 7’s beta version has already drawn a lot of positive reviews. The update has a ton of changes designed to improve the user experience:

  • “Now Bar” for a Dynamic Experience: This feature offers real-time notifications and updates in a stylish manner, much like Apple’s Dynamic Island.
  • Updated User Interface: The UI feels more contemporary thanks to new widgets, rounded elements, and updated fast settings.
  • Advanced Tools & Security: Included in the package are new writing tools, call logs, theft prevention, and even a feature that limits battery charge.

Ship with One UI 7

One UI 7 and Android 15 will be pre-installed on Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. As a result, it will be the first gadget to fully utilize the new user interface. Samsung appears to be raising the bar for flagship devices with its AI-advanced capabilities and user-friendly design.
