Poco has ended months of launch speculation recently. The company confirmed two smartphones for global markets. These include the Poco F9 Pro model. The Poco F9 Ultra will join it too.
There is no standard Poco F9 model confirmed. The launch happens through an online event. Poco scheduled that event for September first. It starts at 8 PM GMT globally.
Indian viewers can watch from 1:30 AM. Both phones appear based on Redmi flagships. The F9 Pro resembles the Redmi K100 Pro closely.
The Ultra resembles the Redmi K100 Pro Max closely. Those Redmi phones launched earlier this month China-wide. Poco could therefore offer global versions soon.
Design Looks Familiar, But Still Feels Premium
Poco has already teased both smartphone designs. The company showed multiple attractive color finishes online.
Shown colors include:
- Dark Cherry: Teased for the F9 Ultra.
- Aurora Green: Revealed for the F9 Pro.
- White: Also shown through launch teasers.
Dark Cherry looks similar to Cabernet Sauvignon. That color appears on Redmi K100 models. The rear panel also carries Bose branding.
It says “Sound by Bose” on the phones. This hints toward possible Bose audio tuning. Poco has not confirmed this partnership yet.
Displays Could Be Major Highlights
The F9 Pro could receive a sharp display. It may feature a 6.59-inch QHD+ panel. The screen could use Plastic OLED technology. Its refresh rate may reach 185Hz maximum.
Meanwhile, the Ultra could feature 6.85 inches. Its display may offer 2608×1200 pixel resolution. These screens could appeal strongly toward gamers.
