But there is no need to worry because Vivo’s phone has an amazing setting with the help of which you can lock your personal apps with fingerprint.

Imagine how you would feel if someone started looking into your personal apps like WhatsApp or Gallery? To prevent this, Vivo has given you the option of fingerprint app lock. With the help of this feature, you can lock selected apps and open them with just your finger.
How to activate
If you haven’t set up fingerprint on your phone yet, activate it first:
- Go to Settings
- Tap the “Fingerprint, face & password” or “Biometrics & password” option
- Add your fingerprint by tapping “Fingerprint”
- Also set a secure password or PIN
Now turn on App Lock and add it with fingerprint
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap on “Privacy & App Encryption” or “App Lock”
- Enter password or PIN (which you set with fingerprint)
- Here you will find the list of all the apps present on your phone
- Turn on the button in front of the app you want to lock
- After this you will find an option at the bottom – Unlock with fingerprint, enable it
Which apps need to be locked
- WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal – If you want to keep chats private, then locking is a must
- Gallery and Photos – Personal memories should be safe
- Paytm, PhonePe, GPay – Money related apps
- Instagram/Facebook – Restrict access to social media
