Known for its flagship smartphones, iQOO appears to be preparing for a new product to join its lineup. Following the release of the iQOO 13 with the potent Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, there are now whispers that the iQOO 14 Pro is in the works.
Leaked Details
A leak by tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo suggests that Vivo and iQOO are planning to incorporate Samsung-supplied screens in their upcoming flagship devices. This could include advanced OLED panels in various configurations.
Such as 1.5K LTPO flat displays and 2K LTPO micro-quad-curved panels. If true, this marks a shift from the previous iQOO 12 and 13 series, which used screens sourced from BOE and Visonox.
What Sets the iQOO 14 Pro Apart
The addition of a periscope lens may be one of the main differences between the iQOO 14 and its Pro version. A remark on Smart Pikachu’s post alluded to this, implying that the normal model might not include it.
Furthermore, according to Experience More, another Weibo source, straight-screen flagships such as the OnePlus 14 and iQOO 14 Pro are also planned for 2025.
Although the iQOO 14 Pro’s technical specifications are yet unknown, there are reports that it may launch with a new Snapdragon chipset and cutting-edge display technology.
Samsung’s Role
In 2025, it is anticipated that Samsung, a pioneer in display technology, will provide a variety of OLED panels for several flagship smartphones. Through this collaboration, the iQOO 14 series’ display quality may be improved, positioning it as a formidable competitor in the high-end smartphone market.
India Launch & Pricing
Only the basic iQOO models, including the iQOO 12, which costs ₹52,999, were previously introduced in India. It is unclear if the iQOO 14 Pro will enter Indian markets or if it will continue the pattern set by its predecessors.
