What is Auto-Caption feature
The Auto-Caption feature is an AI-based feature of Instagram that listens to the words spoken in the video and converts them into text. This simply means that if you have created a reel and are speaking in it, then now you do not need to add subtitles manually. Instagram will automatically add that caption to your video.

How to turn on auto-captions
How to add auto-captions while creating a reel:
- Open Instagram and record a new reel or select a video from the gallery
- Go to the edit screen
- Tap on the “Sticker” option at the top
- There you will find the option “Captions”
- Tap on it and Instagram will automatically convert your spoken words into text
You can also edit the text, change its color or position if you want
In which languages is the auto-caption feature available
Initially, this feature was available only in a few limited languages like English, Spanish, French, but now Instagram is gradually trying to bring it in more languages as well. This feature is not currently available in Hindi, but it is expected that it will also be rolled out soon.
