Do you also want something different to play when you get a call – that too a song or tune of your choice? In this article, we will tell you in very easy steps how to set a custom ringtone on Android phone, so that the next time the phone rings, everyone’s attention is on you.
Why Is a Custom Ringtone Important
Imagine, you are in a crowded place and everyone’s phone is playing the same ringtone. In such a situation, it becomes difficult to identify whose phone is ringing. But if you have set a unique ringtone – like a dialogue of your choice or a favorite song – then it becomes even easier to identify.
How to Set Custom Ringtone
Step 1: Pre-install the audio file
First you will need an audio file in mp3 or m4a format that you want to make a ringtone. You can cut it from a song or download a tune.
Step 2: Place the file in the ringtone folder
If you have downloaded the song, move it to a folder named “Ringtone”. This will make your phone recognize it as a ringtone.
Step 3: Go to Settings
Open your Android phone’s settings and go to the “Sound” or “Sound and vibration” option.
Step 4: Choose Phone ringtone
Now here you will find the option of Phone ringtone. Tap on it.
Step 5: Choose custom ringtone
Now the mp3 or tune file that you want to set as a ringtone will appear in the list. Just tap on it & save it.
