Google is preparing to unveil the Pixel 9a, a more inexpensive alternative to the top Pixel 9 series. Although Google has yet to formally tease the Pixel 9a, precise features, color options, and pricing have leaked online. Let’s see what the Pixel 9a has to offer.
Display
The Google Pixel 9a will reportedly include a 6.285-inch Actua Display with a maximum brightness of 2,700 nits and an HDR brightness of 1,800 nits. This display, which is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, claims to provide bright pictures as well as increased durability. It’s slightly larger and brighter than its predecessor, the Pixel 8a.
Processor
The Pixel 9a is rumored to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 processor and the Titan M2 security chip, resulting in a fluid and secure performance experience.
RAM and Storage
- The device launches in two configurations:
- 8GB LPDDR5X RAM with 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
Camera
The Pixel 9a is expected to have a 48MP GN8 Quad Dual Pixel primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture, along with a Sony IMX712 ultra-wide lens. It will feature a 13MP selfie camera on the front, making it a versatile option for photographers.
Battery & Charging
The Pixel 9a will have a powerful 5,100mAh battery that supports 23W conventional and 7.5W wireless charging. This makes it larger than the battery in the Pixel 9 Pro XL, guaranteeing more usage on a single charge.
Pixel 9A Price
The Pixel 9a is projected to cost the same as the Pixel 8a: $499 in the United States. In India, it may launch for a starting price of ₹52,999, like its predecessor.
Pixel 9a Colors
The Pixel 9a will come in four gorgeous colors: obsidian, porcelain, iris, and peony. These colors match the Pixel 9 series’ color palette, ensuring design continuity. The gadget will be larger and wider than the Pixel 8a, but lighter, weighing 185.9g versus 188g for its predecessor.
