How to enable Assistant
Enabling Google Assistant on Google Pixel phones is very easy. Follow the steps below, and the feature will be enabled on your phone in a matter of seconds.
- Open “Settings” on your Pixel phone.
- Go to the “Google” section.
- Tap the “Google Assistant” option.
- Select “Hey Google & Voice Match.”
- Turn on the “Hey Google” option.
Start Assistant via voice command
If you don’t want to manually go into Settings and start Assistant, you can start it using voice command.
- Say “Hey Google, start Google Assistant” on your phone.
- A confirmation message will appear on the screen, activate it by clicking “Enable”.
- Now you can use Google Assistant directly as per your need.
Use the power button
If you don’t want to use voice commands, you can turn on Google Assistant via the power button.
- Press and hold your phone’s power button for 0.5 seconds.
- Google Assistant will pop up on the screen.
- Now you can ask whatever you want.
