Now that smartphones are with us all the time, the biggest concern is the battery. Especially when you are out and about, you don’t find a charging point and the battery percentage starts draining fast. In such a case, a hidden hero of Google Pixel can be of great help to you – Extreme Battery Saver.
What is Extreme Battery Saver
Extreme Battery Saver is a feature designed to save battery life on Google Pixel phones for a longer period of time. In this mode, your phone only runs essential activities like calls, messages, and a few select apps. All other background activities like location services and WiFi syncing are turned off.
For example, if you are trekking or traveling for a long time without a charger, Extreme Battery Saver can drain your battery for not just hours but sometimes for more than a day.
How to turn it on
Step 1: First go to Settings.
Step 2: From there, tap on the Battery section.
Step 3: Now you will see the option of Battery Saver, click on it.
Step 4: Inside Battery Saver, you will see the option of Extreme Battery Saver. Tap on it.
Step 5: Here you will get the option of When to use, from where you can decide when to activate the Extreme mode.
When to use
- If you are on a trip where the charging point is not far away.
- If your battery is down to 10% or less and it is still time for the day to end.
- If you are at a network location and it is important to receive a call, but you want to turn off everything else.
- At such times, Extreme Battery Saver proves to be a panacea.
