Content and Strategy
Dish TV releases VZY Smart TVs with a unique content-first vision. VZY stands for Vibe, Zone, and You, symbolizing a balance of TV and online entertainment.
Unlike traditional TVs, VZY models come with bundled subscriptions. This allows consumers to enjoy one year of seamless content without additional costs.
The company highlights that VZY is not hardware-centric. The focus remains on delivering content and services to modern families.
The strategy targets households where parents prefer TV channels, children consume online videos, and working members follow hybrid viewing. Dish TV wants VZY to serve every member of a modern digital family.
Dish TV also runs Watcho, its OTT platform, and Shopzop, a quick-commerce service with over 4,000 products.
With these platforms, the company wants to expand its ecosystem while reducing reliance on Pay TV, which is seeing a decline in subscribers.
Availability and Growth Plans
Dish TV releases VZY Smart TVs nationwide through retail stores and online marketplaces. The company is also offering flexible financing, including zero down payment and no-cost EMI options.
Dedicated experience centers and service centers will serve as demo zones to showcase product features.
In the long term, Dish TV plans to develop its own operating system within 18–24 months. The goal is to make 25 percent of revenue from non-DTH sources by 2027, up from the current 10 percent.
The company believes VZY is a connected TV platform, designed for sustainable growth in a highly competitive market.
