In today’s digital age, people are moving away from WhatsApp groups to a platform that is more open, manageable and audience-friendly. Telegram channels are exactly that – send content and thousands of people can view it without any limits. Now the question is how to create a public channel on Telegram? And how to manage it? Let’s know the complete method in easy language.
What Is a Public Telegram Channel
A public Telegram channel is one that any Telegram user can join by searching even without a link. You can add as many members as you want – no limit. That is, it is similar to a YouTube channel but message based – you post content & subscribers read it.
Difference Between Public Channel & Private Channel
Anyone can find and join a public channel on Telegram, while a private channel can only be accessed via an invite link. If you want your information to reach more people, it’s best to create a public channel.
How to create a public channel on Telegram
Step 1: Open the Telegram app
First of all, open the Telegram app on your mobile.
Step 2: Go to the menu and select “New Channel”
You will find a three-line menu in the top right corner. Tap on it and click on “New Channel”.
Step 3: Enter the channel name and description
Now you have to write the name of your channel and a short description that explains the purpose of your channel.
Step 4: Select Public Channel
Now Telegram will ask whether to make the channel public or private. Select “Public Channel” here.
Step 5: Set the username
For a public channel, you have to set a unique username (eg @MyChannel123). This will be the name by which people will be able to find your channel.
Step 6: Channel ready
Now the channel is created. You can start posting content in it.
