The latest Nothing OS 3.0 update has added an exciting feature to some Nothing phones. With Android 15 as its core, this update includes Google’s Circle to Search, a sophisticated AI tool that allows users to access information about anything on their screen by just circling it. Circle to Search
The Circle to Search feature is presently limited to three devices: Nothing Phone (2), Phone (2a), and Phone (2a) Plus.
- The capability is included in the stable Nothing OS 3.0 version for Phones 2 and 2a.
- To access this feature, Phone (2a) Plus users must first install the beta update.

How to Enable & Use
Are you excited to test out Circle to Search? Here’s how you set it up:
Verify your build version
Go to Settings > About phone > Software info, then tap the phone image to see your build number.
Enable Circle Search
Navigate to Settings > Special Features > Gestures > Navigation mode. Circle to Search and select the choice.
Use the Feature
To activate Circle to Search, long-press either the Home button or the Navigation bar.
Draw a circle or tap the object you’d like to search for. Google will instantly retrieve relevant information.
If you don’t see the feature right away, reset your smartphone.
What else does Nothing OS 3.0 offer
Apart from Circle to Search, the Nothing OS 3.0 upgrade adds new animations, improvements, and the most recent Android 15 capabilities. Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed about whether this capability would be extended to other models, such as the CMF Phone 1.
